Construction Manager

  • Handover and documentation
  • Smooth, quality- and cost-focused execution of the construction project to schedule, notice of construction start
  • Technical and managerial responsibility for site employees including construction foremen
  • Efficient cost, schedule and site management
  • Participation in awarding work to sub-contractors
  • Complete planning, management and execution of all tasks associated with the construction site such as work scheduling, time planning and material planning
  • Preparation of measurements, billing and supplementary requests
  • Invoice verification
  • Creation of progress reports, preparation and coordination of “continuous costing reports”
  • Verification of compliance with all the relevant directives relating to quality, occupational safety and environmental protection
  • Regular construction site inspections – compliance with the provisions governing occupational safety and operating instructions
  • Preparation of holiday planning for construction sites(s)
  • Verification of work billing/work sheets sign-off

Responsibilities

  • Instructing foremen
  • Representing the business to the principal and to sub-contractors
  • Award of work, purchase of materials > €5,000 only in cooperation with purchasing department or senior management (observe signing rules)
  • Reporting to senior site manager or managing director regarding staff, tools and equipment, costs and all other associated events, including safety-related incidents and accidents
  • Observance and implementation of measures aimed at compliance with occupational safety regulations, especially the implementation of directives and instructions issued by an occupational safety engineer, trade supervisory board, institution for statutory accident insurance and prevention in the building trade, HSE coordinator, and their observance among sub-contractors and the company’s own employees
  • Reporting to the QA manager of all quality-related incidents

Technical Manager / Costing

  • Acquisition of new customers
  • Coordination of the costing of all new quotations
  • Support for customers, including the required project and order execution
  • Planning and management of the deployment of technical staff
  • Definition of quality standards and performance of quality assurance measures

  • Responsibility for the reliable and efficient provision of equipment, installation material, fittings and accommodation

  • Organisation and processes within his/her own area in order to guarantee quality assurance for his/her own services
  • Capture and maintenance of all equipment master data including technical documentation for individual and small items, formwork and scaffolding

  • Supervision of the storage yard

  • Preparation of holiday planning for the construction yard staff
